Tom H. Connolly

I grew up on a farm in central Ohio. I attended Ohio State University as an undergraduate. After college I was a public school science teacher for two years. In 1970 I returned to Ohio State to attend law school. I graduated from Ohio State University College of Law in 1973. While in law school I served as the law school dean’s research aide, was on the Ohio State Law Journal editorial board, graduated Summa Cum Laude, was awarded the Order of the Coif and received the best senior article writer’s award. Immediately after law school I joined Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, one of the largest and oldest firms in the United States, where I eventually became a partner. While at Jones Day I worked in both the Cleveland, Ohio and Los Angeles, California offices. In 1982 I moved to the Western slope of Colorado and set up my own practice. From 1990 to 1993, I served as Of Counsel to Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Denver assisting with numerous larger bankruptcy matters in Colorado and New York. In 1993 I started the firm which is the present day Connolly, Rosania & Lofstedt, P.C.

In the course of my profession I have had extensive business experience, having served as president and/or CEO of several operating businesses. I currently serve on the board of directors of several industrial corporations and was formerly a director of Colorado National Bank in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. My practice has included extensive experience in Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters including as debtor’s counsel, creditor’s committee counsel, and Chapter 11 trustee. In addition to serving private clients, I have been a member of the panel of trustees for the District of Colorado.

I served for three years as Adjunct Professor of law at the University of ColoradoSchool of Law. I have over the years frequently been a speaker at bankruptcy seminars and events sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the office of the United States Trustees for Region 9. I am past chairman of the Bankruptcy Liaison Committee of the Faculty of Federal Advocates for the District of Colorado. I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, California, and Ohio.
