I grew up in New York City and graduated from Hamilton College, Clinton, New York in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Spanish. I spent most of my summers throughout college, and two years after college, working as a paralegal at the law firm of Brown & Wood (now known as Sidley Austin) in New York City.
In 1991, I moved to Telluride, Colorado, where I worked as a ski lift operator for a year between my paralegal job in New York and law school. I attended the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder. I graduated from law school in May of 1995.
Following law school, I was a law clerk to Judge Ruthanne Polidori on the Jefferson County District Court, located in Golden, Colorado, for a year and a half. In the fall of 1997, I began practicing law with Connolly, Rosania & Lofstedt, P.C. and have been with the firm since that time. I represent debtors in Chapter 7 bankruptcy, including small businesses, Chapter 7 trustees, and creditors. I have also represented clients in non-bankruptcy work-outs and state court litigation. My practice focuses on bankruptcy and bankruptcy-related litigation.
I am the President of the Boulder County Bar Association for 2011-2012 and have served on the Board of Directors of that organization since 2006. I was the co-chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Boulder County Bar Association from 2003 to 2006. I am a past president of the Alfred A. Arraj Inn of Court in Denver, Colorado. I serve on the fundraising committee for the Boulder County Campaign for Justice (for the Legal Aid Foundation) and have done so since 2004. I am a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Colorado Bar Association and the Boulder County Bar Association.
I have been a shareholder of the firm since 2008.
Outside of bankruptcy law, my interests include mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, creating ceramic tile mosaics, and playing the guitar.
